Overview

KiteScan is the document intelligence platform inside the Kingpin Tech ecosystem. It combines AI-generated content detection with plagiarism scanning in a single workflow, so you can verify the authenticity of any document in one pass. The KiteScan scanner accepts both file uploads (PDF and Word documents up to 20MB) and direct text paste. Upload your document or paste content, and KiteScan produces a detailed analysis with similarity scores, AI detection confidence, matched sources, and document statistics (word count, sentence count, reading time).

Where KiteScan differs from single-purpose tools is consolidation. PlagCheck used to be a separate product for plagiarism detection, but it has been folded into KiteScan so users get both signals from a single scan. The KiteScan report viewer presents AI detection and similarity side by side, with sentence-level annotations and a clear confidence score. For deeper similarity analysis, PlagiSure is still available as a dedicated plagiarism platform.

For educators and institutions, KiteScan offers batch scanning to verify multiple submissions simultaneously. The KiteScan admin panel provides platform-wide analytics, system health monitoring, scan type distribution, and user management. Pair with PlagiSure for dedicated plagiarism reports and with HumaraGPT's Apex engines for any work that needs humanization after detection.

KiteScan integrates with the rest of the Kingpin ecosystem. The HumaraGPT humanizer takes flagged sentences and rewrites them. The Ozone3 writing pipeline generates new text that you can scan before submission. The Cognito Write AI highlighter shows you exactly which sentences look AI-generated. The PlagiSure similarity scanner provides dedicated plagiarism reports. All scan results are saved to your KiteScan dashboard with full history and export capabilities.

Pricing is transparent. The Free plan includes 10 scans per month with basic AI detection. The Pro plan at KES 1,500/month adds 200 scans per month, advanced AI detection, detailed reports, priority support, and API access. The Enterprise plan is custom and includes unlimited scans, white-label reports, custom integrations, dedicated account management, and SLA guarantees.

Privacy and trust are foundational. Scan content is encrypted at rest and in transit, scoped to your account via Supabase row-level security, and never used to train third-party models. The platform complies with GDPR and the Kenya Data Protection Act.
